Lou Geniuz (* 9. March 1977 as Luigi Zarra ) is a Swiss Latin - rapper , singer , record producer , percussionist and recording studio owner of Italian descent.

Career

He started his career in 1997 as a member of the Moshiba group , which won the Music Masters competition at the Lucerne Music Fair . A little later he began work on his solo album The Premier , which was released in 1999 through music distribution . The album Illoumination followed in 2001, on which the artist combined hip-hop with stylistic elements from contemporary R&B , reggae and Latin jazz .

Lou Geniuz has played an important role in the career of the Italian-Swiss rapper Cigi since the beginning . He is featured on numerous songs by the man born Salvatore Ciccone as a background singer or in the hooklines . He also accompanies Cigi on his concert tours as a singer and percussionist. Geniuz is the sole owner of the g-cookin music studio in Chur , where musicians such as Gimma , the Kuchikäschtli section and Breitbild record their songs.

Zarra has been since the album Neu: D'Wohrheit! Member and producer of the Oschtblock Kuabuaba , which also includes rappers like Gimma, Cigi and Ali de Bengali. He provided the soundtrack to the movie The Flag of the Seven Upright People and to the last season of Big Brother . Geniuz reads his texts in English , Spanish , Italian and Swiss German .

Lou is a member of the Bündner music group Anacoustic , for which he works as a percussionist and background singer. The group released their album Destination in 2005 .
