Lour is an East Timorese Suco in the administrative office of Zumalai ( municipality of Cova Lima ).

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Lour had an area of ​​25.85 km². Now it is 40.93 km². The Suco is in the northeast of the administrative office of Zumalai. To the northwest lies the Suco Mape . Across the Fatoro River lie the Suco Fatuleto to the west and the Suco Zulo to the southwest . At the southern tip of the Sucos Lour, the Fatoro flows into the Mola , the border river to the administrative office and municipality of Ainaro with its Sucos Cassa and Mau-Nuno . The only larger, contiguous settlement in Suco is Salasa ( Lour Salasa ). It is near the confluence of the Mola and Fatoro rivers. The place has a primary school, the Escola Primaria Lour . At times the Suco is difficult to reach. For the parliamentary elections in East Timor in 2007 , the ballot boxes had to be brought to and from the polling station in the elementary school by helicopter.

In the Suco are the seven Aldeias Lae Gatal , Pelet , Ritiluli , Salasa , Somo Kanua , Tilis and Uluc Lolo .

Residents

2048 inhabitants live in the Suco (2015), of which 1056 are men and 992 women. The population density is 50.0 inhabitants / km². There are 372 households in the Suco. More than 96% of the population name Bunak as their mother tongue. About 4% speak Tetum Prasa .

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Justino Pereira was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections won Justino dos Reis .
