Cassa ( Kassa , Kasa ) is an East Timorese place and Suco in the administrative office of Ainaro ( municipality of Ainaro ).

In 1936, Cassa was renamed Arcos by the Portuguese . But the name did not catch on and a few years after the Second World War , the old name was reverted to.

The place

The place Cassa lies at an altitude of 239  m above sea level. This is where three national roads meet. From the west from Zumalai , from the east from Hato-Udo and from the north a road that leads via Ainaro and Aileu to the state capital Dili (about 70 km as the crow flies). A bridge crosses the Belulik ( Bé-lulic ) river here .

The place is a settlement center that consists of several directly neighboring villages. In addition to the Cassa center, these are Bemoris , Pebago , Munobol , Lailima , Mau-Suca and Maununo . There are two medical posts in the settlement center, two primary schools and one preparatory school for secondary level.
