Lužec ( German Kammersgrün ) is a district of the town Nejdek ( Neudek ) in the Karlsbad district in the Czech Republic.
location
Kammersgrün is in a protected, wooded location on the southern slope of the Wölfling (978 m) in the valley of the Kammersgrüner Bach at an altitude of 538 m in the Ore Mountains .
history
The origin of the place in the rule of Lichtenstadt is likely to fall in the time before 1487 and probably go back to the tin mining . The rule at that time was owned by the Teplá Monastery under Nikolaus Schlick (1487-1522). Kammersgrün was parish first to Lichtenstadt and from 1784 to Tüppelsgrün. In 1847 the village had 21 houses with 128 inhabitants and 1 inn. Until the abolition of patrimonial jurisdiction in 1848/49, Kammersgrün belonged to the Neudek rule .
Due to the sheltered location and the somewhat milder climate, in addition to forestry and timber trade, lively agriculture was carried out here, and above all grain was grown. However, several residents also commuted to the large factories in Neudek. The municipality was part of the Neudek district from 1910 and belonged to the Neudek district in the Reichsgau Sudetenland from 1938 .
At the beginning of the 20th century, Kammersgrün developed into a popular summer resort and winter sports location. At the end of the 1920s, the Neudek district health insurance company acquired a hunting lodge designed by Munich architect Richard Berndl at the upper end of the village on the edge of the forest , which was converted into a convalescent home. After the collapse of Czechoslovakia, a hotel moved into this home, but it soon closed its doors again, so that this building was empty and fell into disrepair. There is currently a 4 star wellness hotel there again.
In 1939 there were 115 predominantly German residents in Kammersgrün, which belonged to the Neudek district . In 1991 the place had no permanent residents. In 2001 the village consisted of a house in which one person lived.
