history
It was first mentioned in 1568. The place name with the ending Loh goes back to an old German toponym and roughly means forest or subsidence.
Mining was carried out in the area at an early stage, as an entry in the Neudeker Bergbuch from 1581 shows. In 1651 there were 64 inhabitants here, in 1705 there were already 107 people living here who were parish in Neudek. Until the abolition of patrimonial jurisdiction in 1848/49, Ullersloh belonged to the Neudek rule . In 1847 the village had 63 houses with 429 inhabitants, 1 community school and 1 tavern. In 1930 there were 443 residents.
The place used to be an independent municipality that belonged to the Neudek district and the Neudek district formed in 1938 in the Reichsgau Sudetenland . In 1939 Ullersloh had 464 mostly German residents. The districts Saifenhäus (e) l ( Sejfy ) and Tellerhäuser ( Tellerovy domy ), both on the Karlsbad – Johanngeorgenstadt railway line , and their own stopping points belonged to the place.
After 1945 the German-speaking population was forcibly expelled. Between May 25 and September 13, 1946, 330 residents were transported away in cattle wagons. The family names of the residents were: Bauer, Baumgartl, Boog, Bridegroom, Dierschmied, Dörrschmied, Egermann, Egert, Enzmann, Felsenberg, Fladerer, Fuchs, Glöckner, Graser, Grimm, Heidler, Held, Horn, Kamler, Kannler, Kern, Knaut, Köhler, Kunzmann, Lienert, Lill, Lorenz, Meinl, Michl, Möckl, Neudert, Norpoth, Ohmt, Pecher, Petrika, Pipping, Pleyl, Pöhlmann, Renner, Richter, Sandner, Sättler, Scheitler, Schlosser, Schmidt, Schmiedl, Schneider, Schreiter, Schuster, Schwab, Seifert, Sieber, Stark, Ströer, Strunz, Stutzig, Uhl, Ullmann and Wied.
In the upper part of the village, almost all the empty houses were demolished and the areas reforested. Only in the lower part of the village have some houses survived to this day, which are mostly used as weekend properties. In 1991 the place had eight residents. In 2001 the village consisted of five houses in which twelve people lived.
Place name
The ending -loh (e) is found relatively often in this area, but also in the Fichtelgebirge , from where the settlement once took place in the Middle Ages. It means something like a peat base in or near the forest overgrown with herbs and bushes.
