Lucas James "Luc" Greenwood (born October 11, 1988 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a professional Canadian poker player .

family

Greenwoods identical twin brother Sam and her older brother Max are also professional poker player and each bracelet winner of the World Series of Poker . Greenwood lives in Toronto .

Poker career

Greenwood has been playing online since November 2006 under the nickname yrwthmelthr . His prize money in online poker tournaments is more than 4 million US dollars , with the majority of over 3.5 million US dollars being won on the PokerStars platform . Greenwood secured his highest online prize pool in April 2014 for finishing fourth in the FTOPS Main Event on Full Tilt Poker for more than $ 100,000. Since 2008 he has also been participating in renowned live tournaments .

In early January 2010, Greenwood finished 21st at the main event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in the Bahamas for $ 75,000 in prize money. In June 2010 he was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and came in the money in two tournaments of the No Limit Hold'em variant . In mid-December 2015, Greenwood came 13th at the EPT High Roller in Prague for around 45,000 euros . In January 2020, Greenwood won the sixth event of the Australian Poker Open in Gold Coast and secured a prize of 700,000 Australian dollars .
