Lucie Ceralová (born June 4, 1976 in Liberec , Czechoslovakia ) is an opera singer ( mezzo-soprano and alto ).

Life

The native Czech studied German and music education from 1994 to 1999 at the Palacký University in Olomouc . For her master's thesis on the Sudeten German writer Friedrich Jaksch, she was awarded the sponsorship prize of the Sudeten German Landsmannschaft Munich.

From 2000 to 2007 she studied singing at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden , including in master classes with Brigitte Fassbaender , Dagmar Pecková , Margreet Honig, Gwendolin Killebrew and Evelyn Herlitzius . During her studies she received one of the first scholarships from the Brücke / Most Foundation , which is dedicated to improving the Czech-German community.

This was followed by engagements in Rostock , appearances with the violinist Ivan Ženatý at the international music festival Prager Frühling , the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the Lockenhaus chamber music festival as well as appearances on German and Czech radio.

Today Lucie Ceralová lives with her family in Dresden.
