Luck is located in northwest Wisconsin, around 20 km east of the St. Croix River . This forms the border between Wisconsin and Minnesota and flows into the Mississippi about 115 km south-southwest of Luck . The place is between two small lakes, Big Butternut Lake and Little Butternut Lake .
