Lucky Luke (cartoon series)

The animated series Lucky Luke is based on the volumes of the comic series of the same name and consists of 52 episodes of around 25 minutes in length. The first 26 episodes were produced by Hanna-Barbera in 1983-84 , the last 26 appeared in 1991-92 and were produced by IDDH.

The first season was shown from October 15, 1984 on France 3 (FR3) in France, in Germany the first broadcast was on January 2, 1985 on ARD . The second season was broadcast in Germany on June 27, 1992 on RTL .

The directors of the first season were Morris as well as Joseph Barbera and William Hanna , since the season was produced by Hanna-Barbera , Gaumont , Extrafilm and FR3. The second season was directed by Morris and Philippe Landrot and produced by FR3, IDDH and Dargaud Films.

The German title song was sung by Freddy Quinn .

From three episodes of the television series ( The Daltons in the Blizzard , Ma Dalton and The Daltons prove themselves ), the 1983 film Lucky Luke - The Great Adventure emerged .

The series was dubbed by Siegfried Rabe with the help of Adolf Kabatek . Rabe cast the roles of Lucky Luke and Joe Dalton with Andreas Mannkopff and Friedrich W. Bauschulte . Dieter Kursawe took over the role of Averell after the sudden death of Hans Schwarz . The original roles of Jack and William Dalton by Kursawe were taken over by Wolfgang Zahl and Wilfried Herbst , in the 2nd season Eberhard Prüter took over the role of William Dalton
