action

President Rutherford B. Hayes personally instructs Lucky Luke to accompany French actor Sarah Bernardt on her first US tour for her safety. Inexplicable things happen on their tour: your train car is disconnected, food is stolen or a Mississippi steamer capsizes. Nevertheless, Sarah Bernhardt manages one brilliant appearance after the other. After an Indian attack, it turns out that the accompanying George is the wife of President Hayes disguised as a man. She sabotaged the tour because she thought Bernhardt was an immoral person. Sarah Bernhardt can distract the Indians, while the wife can free the other prisoners, which makes a positive impression on her. After a vocal performance in the Indian tipi, the former critical wife is now one of the actress' numerous admirers.
