The Alibi and Other Stories (French: L 'Alibi ) is a short story album from the Lucky Luke comic series . It was drawn by Morris and the text was written by Claude Guylouis .

  • The alibi : Lucky Luke is supposed to introduce the wild west to a rich stepdaughter. After all, she almost got murdered by her own father, who was claiming shares of her inheritance. With the engagement of the famous Lucky Luke he hoped for an alibi, which he failed.
  • Athletic City : The weak indigo boy becomes a muscular sportsman with his self-invented training equipment. Ultimately, he becomes the inventor of modern body building.
  • Olé Daltonitos : The Daltons are trying to flee to Mexico. After an attack on a torero group, they are mistaken for toreros themselves and forced into the bullring. After a few bizarre actions, the bull gives up in exasperation. The jubilation over the victorious toreros quickly evaporates when Lucky Luke presents the real toreros.
  • A horse disappears : Lucky Luke's horse, Jolly Jumper, has been kidnapped. Since the ransom note contains typographical errors, Julius Greg, the clerk, can be located. The client, the Daltons, can be quickly captured.

The stories first appeared in 1987 in the weekly La Vie and then as an album on Dargaud . In Germany the album was released in 1988 by Delta Verlag with the number 55.

The story The Alibi was filmed in 1991 for the Lucky Luke animated series.
