Luis David González (born October 7, 1988 ) is a Mexican ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Fundación Deportiva Talaveros Puebla since 2015 .

Career

Luis David González began his career as an ice hockey player at Galerias Reforma and in 2006 moved to the team from Metepec , for which he was on the ice for four years. When the semi-professional league Mexicana Elite was founded in 2010 , he moved to the Teotihuacan Priests , one of the four founding clubs of the league, with which he immediately became Mexican champions. In 2013 he returned to Metepec. From there he moved to Fundación Deportiva Talaveros Puebla in 2013 , for which he has been on the ice ever since.

International

In the junior division, González was on the ice for Mexico at the U18 World Championships 2006 and the U20 World Championships 2006 , 2007 and 2008 in Division II.

With the men's national team , Gonzaléz took part in the World Championships of Division II in 2007 , 2008 , 2009 , 2010 , 2011 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 , 2015 and 2016 . He also took part in the qualifying tournaments for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , 2014 in Sochi and 2018 in Pyeongchang , in which the Mexicans failed in the pre-qualification. At the Pan-American ice hockey tournament in 2014 , he finished second with his team.

In addition to his active career, he was assistant coach of the Mexican junior team in Division III at the U20 World Cup in 2014 .
