Luttenberger * Klug was a pop duo from Styria , Austria . It consisted of Michelle Luttenberger (* July 12, 1990 in Feldbach ) and Christina "Chrissi" Klug (* February 5, 1989 in Deutschlandsberg ).

history

The two met at a performance by Klug's band and became known in Germany through appearances on regional television stations. In summer 2005 her debut single Super Sommer was played especially on the Austrian ORF radio station Ö3 . Since they could not achieve any real success with it, Super Sommer was published again in the summer of 2006. This time the single entered the Austria Top 40 and the German Top 100 charts . In autumn 2006 the single Vergiss mich followed , with which the duo entered the Austria Top 40 in 14th place . Her debut album Get Ready! was released on February 23, 2007 and was in the Austrian charts for more than 25 weeks.

Their biggest appearances took place on July 9, 2006, where they played live and unplugged in front of about 20,000 people on the Berlin Waldbühne and in front of over 1 million people on the Berlin fan mile before the 2006 World Cup final . In 2007 the two supported Christina Stürmer , the Sugababes and Tokio Hotel with their band , before going on tour in Austria and Germany in May .

On May 17, 2007, Luttenberger and Klug won the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the “National Single of the Year” category with their single Vergiss mich . On April 18, 2008, they also won the Amadeus Austrian Music Award in the “National Album of the Year” category with their album Mach dich ready .

Luttenberger * Klug were produced by Alexander Kahr , who also produced Christina Stürmer and Nadine Beiler .

The album Mädchen im Regen was completed in mid-2008 and was released the following November.

In September 2009, Luttenberger * Klug announced their temporary separation, but announced the continuation of the collaboration a little later at the request of their fans.

In autumn 2009 the duo signed with the record company Universal Music Austria , which is to release the third studio album.

In April 2010 the video shoot for the new single Nur an mich took place, which attracted attention with a new style, but above all with the direction of Oscar- winner Stefan Ruzowitzky .

On October 29, 2010 the download single Show me the way was released , which is also the theme song for the animated series CHI RHO - The Secret . The single Always when you sleep was released as a maxi CD on November 19, 2010. The third studio album, Our Time , was released on February 25, 2011.

In autumn 2010, Luttenberger * Klug was nominated for the Austrian preliminary decision for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Sternenlichter .

In February 2012, Klug announced her pregnancy. She became a mother in July 2012.

Luttenberger released the single Broken together with City Angels in May 2012 and the single Helden Tonight with Molti, Spotzl, Pichla, Eigi in August 2012 . In addition to her musical career, she works for the regional television station Styria 1 . There are no plans to return to Luttenberger * Klug.
