Location of Mühlenfeld in Haan

The location Mühlenfeld was a court in the urban area of Haan and belonged to the former communities of Obgruiten and Gruiten . Today the place is a desert .

The living space was in the east of the Haan urban area near the municipal boundary to Wuppertal on today's Hahnenfurther Weg and west of pit 10 , where limestone was mined.

Neighboring locations were (in the municipality of Wuppertal) Osterholz , Alt-Derken , Schrotzberg and, desolate fallen, Steeg ; furthermore (in Haan) Birschels and meanwhile also desolate Klevenhof , Isenberg and Vogelsang .

On the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824, the residential area is recorded under the name "Muhlerfeld". On the topographic map (TK25) from 1892/94 it is recorded in the spelling “Mühlenfeld”. The location was then recorded until 1974, Mühlenfeld is no longer shown on the map from 1983 and the residential area was razed.

Today the place is included in the arable land surrounding it.
