Mārcis Ošs (born July 25, 1991 in Limbaži ) is a Latvian football player who can be used both on the right and on the left central defender position.

Career

He started at FK Auda in 2007 and moved to FK Limbaži in 2009. In 2011, FK Jelgava secured its services, here Ošs was able to establish itself as a regular player and played over 100 competitive games. He also won the Latvian Football Cup three times in a row with his club. He was also voted best defender in the 2015 Virslīga season .

In 2016 he moved abroad for the first time in his career to the Polish representative Górnik Zabrze , but returned to his homeland after nine games and signed again with Jelgava. In 2018 he was bought by FK Spartaks Jūrmala , in the same year he was loaned to Neuchâtel Xamax in Switzerland .

National team

Ošs has been playing for the Latvian national football team at irregular intervals since the beginning of 2017 , and made his debut on March 28, 2017 in a friendly against Georgia . He is currently the second choice and has not yet been able to assert himself as a regular player.
