Diafra Sakho (born December 24, 1989 in Guédiawaye ) is a Senegalese football player .

Career

The center forward started his career at Guédiawaye FC and moved to AS Génération Foot in the spring of 2006 .

In the summer of 2007 he left Senegal and moved to the French Ligue 1 club FC Metz . After 17 goals in 22 games for the reserve team in the 2009/10 season, he was promoted to the Ligue 1 squad by Yvon Pouliquen and made his professional debut on January 13, 2010 in the away game against Olympique Lyon in the Coupe de la Ligue . On January 19, 2010, he made his Ligue 2 debut in a 0-0 draw against Stade Brest . In January 2012 he briefly negotiated with the German second division club Hansa Rostock . He was eventually loaned to US Boulogne .

In the summer of 2014 Sakho moved to the English Premier League club West Ham United , where he made his debut in a 3-1 away win against Crystal Palace FC on 23 August .

On January 29, 2018, West Ham announced that it would sell Sakho to France to Stade Rennes . Six months later he was awarded for one season at Bursaspor in the Turkish Süper Lig .
