Madlen Kaniuth
Madlen Kaniuth (born July 28, 1974 in Waren (Müritz) ) is a German actress and singer .
life and career
Even as a child, Madlen Kaniuth wanted to be a theater artist. She became part of the school choir and the Dramatic Circle, joined various dance groups and choreographed together with her friend and dance partner. In 1993 she graduated from the Richard-Wossidlo-Gymnasium in Waren (Müritz) and immediately afterwards went to the USA for a year (1993/1994), where she also took dance, singing and acting courses in Virginia . From 1995 to 1998 Kaniuth completed her acting and singing training in Berlin as well as dance training. She received her first engagement while she was still studying: At the Bonn Opera she performed for West Side Story under the choreographer Melissa King. This was followed by a number of other theater and musical engagements such as Anything goes and On the town ( Staatstheater Oldenburg ), Cats (Capitoltheater Düsseldorf) and various leading roles in musicals and musical galas in Germany and Europe.
Kaniuth made her television debut in 2001 with an advertisement for Nescafé , in which Harald Schmidt also played, and with a guest role in the RTL series Die Camper . Kaniuth was also seen in Tatort , Pastewka , Die Anrheiner , Notruf Hafenkante , Hotel 13 and repeatedly played leading roles in commercials and short films, some of which were award-winning. The actress gained greater prominence through her role as secretary Brigitte Schnell in the RTL soap Alles was geht . Kaniuth celebrated her premiere in a movie in 2002 with the international production Le Anime Veloci , for which she stood in front of the camera in Milan and Berlin. Her current cinema production Happy End was shot in summer 2013.
To this day Kaniuth has also remained loyal to the vocals and is on the road as the front woman of the cover bands 80Special and Nightliners all over Germany.
In 2014 she publicly discussed her long-term stressful illness of lipedema , which she was able to successfully treat through an operation. The actress lives with her partner in Cologne.

Madlen Kaniuth supports various charitable projects. She is a prominent ambassador for the Kinderlachen eV association . She has often participated in the RTL donation marathon for children in need. She also supports the German bone marrow donor database (DKMS) and is involved in many DKMS campaigns.
