Magali Mosnier

Magali Mosnier (* 1976 in Montluçon ) is a French flautist .

Life

Magali Mosnier began her musical training at the age of 7 with learning the oboe , but soon turned to the flute. She later studied at the Conservatoire National de Région de Lyon in the class of José-Daniel Castellon and at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris with Pierre-Yves Artaud and Georges Alirol.

She started her career as a solo flutist in 1996 with the Orchester Symphonique des Jeunes en Ile des France and then with the Philharmonie de Chambre de Paris. Since 2003 she has been engaged in this position with the Orchester Philharmonique de Radio France .

In 2004 she was a prizewinner (1st prize) of the ARD International Music Competition in the field of flute and also received an audience award there. Since then, Magali Mosnier has appeared repeatedly as a soloist with various orchestras (including Konzerthausorchester Berlin , Deutsche Radio Philharmonie , Stuttgart Philharmonic and I Musici di Roma ) on many international stages and festivals. Among them are the Cologne Philharmonic , the Vienna Musikverein , the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden , the Salzburg Festival and the Mostly Mozart Festival at Lincoln Center of New York .

Magali Mosnier also attracted media attention in 2010 when she stepped in for the famous flautist James Galway , who was temporarily unable to attend due to an accident, at a concert with Éric Le Sage in the Hamburg Music Hall .
