The 2006/07 season of the Magners League , the championship jointly played by Irish, Welsh and Scottish rugby teams, began on September 1, 2006. The season consisted of 20 game days (one preliminary and one second half) and lasted until May 12 2007. The Ospreys from Wales won the championship. The season was the first under the new name, previously the league operated under the name Celtic League.
