Magnus Jonsson (born September 23, 1977 ) is a Swedish football player . The goalkeeper rose to the Allsvenskan with BK Häcken in 2004 and then played eight first division games, from 2007 he was more often without a club.

Career

Jonsson started playing football at Gunnilse IS . At the Gothenburg club in 1997 he moved up to the squad of the second-rate men's team. After he was relegated with the club at the end of the second division season in 2000 as bottom of the table, he joined local rivals BK Häcken a year later , who was relegated from the Allsvenskan.

At BK Häcken, Jonsson fought with Christoffer Källqvist for the regular place between the posts. He won the duel in large parts and in the second division season in 2003 he was used in 23 of the 30 season games. Subsequently, his competitor ousted him, so that in the following season he only contributed to the club's promotion to the Allsvenskan with only one season. Here he stayed one more season as a substitute before turning his back on the club in late 2005.

Jonsson hired for the second division season in 2006 at IFK Norrköping . With the team supervised by Mats Jingblad , he just missed a promotion place as fourth in the table. He then drew a contractually agreed option that enabled him to terminate the contract.

After his former club BK Häcken lost the goalkeeper due to injury in the following season, he stepped in and played two more games for the club. In July he ran once for his hometown club Gunnilse IS before it in October of Hammarby IF for the UEFA Cup has been committed to since there with Erland Hellström and Benny Lekström the two regular goalkeepers were injured. His contract was only valid for the European round match against Portuguese club Sporting Braga .

Then Jonsson remained without a contract before he signed a contract with GAIS in November 2008, which was valid from the first division season 2009 . At the Gothenburg club he was a substitute for the former national goalkeeper Dime Jankulovski . In the 2: 4 defeat in the cup game against Landskrona BoIS in April 2009, he made his competitive debut, in the league he was regularly only on the bench and was not used. In 2010, the club signed another goalkeeper, the Finn Henri Sillanpää , so that he continued to decline in the ranking. After his contract expired at the end of 2010, he was without a club.
