Act

Laodicea (2000) in Braunschweig

Magnus Kleine-Tebbe has been designing and making figurative sculptures and sculptures since 1991. His works are based on a Christian-humanistic view of the world and people. He finds inspiration in ancient mythology and biblical themes. There are numerous works for cities, villages, parishes and companies in the public space of Braunschweig and the region.

Kleine-Tebbe is considered an excellent draftsman. He has mastered techniques of both subtractive and additive work processes, recognizable by the different uses of materials for his sculptures: wood, stone, bronze , steel and terracotta , plaster, concrete. His works are preceded by detailed studies in the form of drawings and clay or plaster models.

Experiments with materials such as B. Glass fiber in concrete, the acquisition of new technologies and their further development are Magnus Kleine-Tebbe's drive; So he developed a permanently elastic marble plastiline in three degrees of hardness for the production of objective model studies. Teaching techniques such as seeing and drawing to the next generation of sculptors and stonemasons is important to him.

For his sculptures of saints on the tower of the St. Martinus church in Nottuln , Magnus Kleine-Tebbe received the second prize in the category "Restoration, Conservation" of the Peter Parler Prize of the German Foundation for Monument Protection in 2015 .
