Magny-la-Campagne ( ) is a former French commune with the last 553 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It belonged to the arrondissement of Caen and the canton of Mézidon-Canon .
The municipality of Magny-la-Campagne was founded on January 1, 2017 with 13 other municipalities, namely Les Authieux-Papion , Crèvecœur-en-Auge , Croissanville , Grandchamp-le-Château , Lécaude , Coupesarte , Magny-le-Freule , Le Mesnil -Mauger , Mézidon-Canon , Monteille , Percy-en-Auge , Saint-Julien-le-Faucon and Vieux-Fumé merged to form the new municipality of Mézidon Vallée d'Auge .
geography
Magny-la-Campagne is located about 20 kilometers north-northeast of Falaise and 25 kilometers southeast of Caen .
The municipality was surrounded by Mézidon-Canon in the north, Percy-en-Auge in the northeast, Ouville-la-Bien-Tournée in the east, Thiéville in the southeast, Vendeuvre in the south, Condé-sur-Ifs in the southwest and west and Vieux-Fumé in a northwesterly direction.
