Malte Sundermann (* 1983 in Cologne ) is a German actor .

Life

Malte Sundermann completed his acting studies at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna from 2003 to 2007 . He began his stage career in 2005, while still studying, at the "Seewiese Altaussee ", as Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream , in a production that Klaus Maria Brandauer realized with Reinhardt seminarians.

He had his first permanent engagement from 2007 to 2009 at the Staatstheater Braunschweig , where he embodied several roles in classical and modern theater literature. He played u. a. Simon in Burns by Wajdi Mouawad (2007 season), Boyfriend in Still Life in a Ditch by Fausto Paravidino (2008), Artur in Sławomir Mrożek's play Tango (2009), Morten Schwarzkopf in a stage version by Buddenbrooks (2008, director: Wolfgang Gropper ) and the young Erich Spitta in the Hauptmann classic Die Ratten .

After a guest engagement at the Hanover Theater (2009), Sundermann was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Theater am Neumarkt in Zurich from 2010 to 2013 under the directorship of Rafael Sanchez and Barbara Weber . There he played u. a. the unemployed aviator Yang Sun in Der gute Mensch von Sezuan (2011, director: Barbara Weber), the son Konstantin Gavrilovič Treplev in Die Möwe (2011, director: Milan Peschel ), again Demetrius (2012, director: Rafael Sanchez), the Title role in Woyzeck (season 2011/12, director: Yannis Houvardas ) and Franz Moor in Die Räuber (season 2012/13, director: Markus Kubesch ).

In the 2014/15 season Sundermann made a guest appearance at the Schauspiel Köln . In the 2014/15 season he also appeared at the Staatstheater Darmstadt in the play Geschwister by Klaus Mann , the actor Heiko Raulin's first own production . In the 2017/18 season Sundermann appeared at the Münchner Kammerspiele in the production of Perfect Romance (by The Agency and Leif Randt ).

Occasionally Sundermann also worked for television. In the series special A Murder with a View , he played the village policeman Dominik alongside Nina Proll and Dave Davis .

Sundermann, who also works as a radio play speaker, lives in Berlin .

His sister Laura Sundermann also works as an actress.
