action

The teacher France Dumanoir, known as Franssou, inherits 50,000 euros from her great-great aunt. Although her boring boyfriend Marc it proposes to buy with the money a new mattress or create it themselves Franssou spontaneously fulfilled rather a lifelong dream: to travel from Paris to Cannes and applies a room at the five-star - Luxury Hotel Carlton. On the very first day, she made the acquaintance of Stéphane Lachesnaye, who also lives in the Carlton and, as Elton John's supposed tour manager, is looking for a room in the hotel for him. At the same time he tries as a supposed real estate agent to sell a villa to the rich but not particularly intelligent ex-racing driver René. One day Franssou follows Stéphane out of curiosity, which in turn leads him to flirt with her and take her to the other end of town on a supposedly romantic excursion. Here he grabs her, asks her about her identity and makes it clear to her that he doesn't like being secretly followed at all. However, because Stéphane has owed 30,000 euros while gambling and has to repay the money the next day if he doesn't want to risk his health, he turns to Franssou again. He knows she inherited. She agrees to lend him 30,000 euros, but makes two conditions: She doesn't leave his side until she has got her money back. In addition, he does not have to repay her 30,000, but 60,000 euros. Out of necessity, Stéphane agrees to the conditions.

Stéphane's plan to simply disappear secretly from the hotel fails because Franssou moves into his hotel room. She has long since realized that Stéphane is a little cheater who has also given her a false identity. However, she fell in love with him and even if Stéphane stubbornly denies any interest in her, she does not believe him. Stéphane hopes to receive the necessary 60,000 euros by selling the villa, which is not actually for sale, to René. However, René decides not to buy because the garage would not hold his eight cars. Nevertheless, he invites him to a chat at the horse race. Stéphane brings Franssou with him. When he realizes that René immediately fell in love with the young woman, he passed her off as his foster child, who used to live in the villa for sale and who was passionate about going to car races. Franssou plays along with the game, meets with René and takes a liking to him, especially since he blossoms in her presence. Both go out to dinner and Franssou accepts an invitation to his villa for the weekend. Stéphane is also allowed to come along as he is supposed to help the nervous René deal with Franssou. However, René is no longer interested in the villa, since he would sell his own property for Franssou himself. When Stéphane realizes that René really loves Franssou and that she, in view of his wealth, does not find a life by his side unthinkable, Stéphane confesses to René that in reality he and Franssou are a couple, he loves her, and she only does what he does to her said. Franssou is delighted and disappears from René's villa with Stéphanes. Both return to the Carlton, but Elton John unexpectedly appears. Stéphane, who has never worked for him, hastily flees with Franssou. Although both had to leave their belongings in the hotel, Franssou is optimistic. She has the rest of her inheritance, at least 10,000 euros, with her and is ready to make common cause with crook Stéphane in the future.
