Manchecourt is a village and a former French community with 725 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the extreme north of the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belonged to the Arrondissement of Pithiviers and the Canton of Malesherbes .

With effect from January 1, 2016, Manchecourt was merged with the former municipalities of Coudray , Labrosse , Mainvilliers , Malesherbes , Nangeville and Orveau-Bellesauve to form the Commune nouvelle Le Malesherbois and since then has had the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality .

Neighboring towns are Césarville-Dossainville in the north-west, Orveau-Bellesauve in the north, Coudray in the north-east, Labrosse in the east, Briarres-sur-Essonne in the south-east, Aulnay-la-Rivière in the south and Ramoulu in the south-west.

Attractions

The obelisk at Manchecourt was erected in 1748 and marks the meridian . The building has been designated as a Monument historique since 1916 .
