Manfred Hölzlein

Manfred Hölzlein (born April 29, 1942 in Passau ) is a German lawyer and politician ( CSU ). From 1998 to 2013 he was President of the District Assembly of Lower Bavaria .

Life

After studying law, he was a judge at the Landshut District Court , and from October 1998 to 2002 he was senior public prosecutor at the Landshut public prosecutor's office .

His political career began in 1960 when he joined the Junge Union , and one year later he joined the CSU. From 1965 to 1977 he was the deputy district chairman of the Junge Union Niederbayern and from 1969 to 1977 a member of the state board of the Junge Union Bayern. He took on his first political mandate in 1972 in the city ​​council of Landshut, where he chaired the CSU parliamentary group from 1990 to 1998.

In 1974 he also moved into the district assembly of Lower Bavaria . There he was chairman of the CSU parliamentary group from 1994 to 1998. In 1998 he was elected President of the District Assembly and held this office until 2013. From 2003 to 2013 he was also President of the Bavarian District Assembly (until 2013: Association of Bavarian Districts).

From 1972 to 1985 he was the first chairman of the Landshut game association . He was also an active participant in the Landshut wedding several times .
