Manfred Lauermann

Manfred Lauermann (born April 22, 1947 in Hanover ) is a German sociologist , historian of ideas and left-wing intellectual who lives as a private scholar in Hanover and has his political origins in the German 1968 movement .

The qualified sociologist Lauermann is considered one of the best experts on Spinoza in Germany, but also of Carl Schmitt , Althusser and Luhmann as well as Marx . The intensive preoccupation with such different theorists and his way of receiving them earned him the reputation of being a “wanderer between the worlds” on the part of Jungle World . This was shortly thereafter confirmed as Lauer man in the New Right theory Organ stage a 50-page article incl. A "Hommage à Panagiotis Kondylis " published.

Lauermann taught at the universities of Bochum , Dresden and Bielefeld . In 1999 he was a DAAD professor at the Brazilian Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG).

He was a member of the Socialist German Student Union (SDS) and is a member of the German Society for Sociology (Cultural Sociology Section), the Ferdinand Tönnies Society and the German and Dutch Spinoza Society .

Lauermann was a member of the historical commission of the party Die Linke from 2007 to 2017 . He was no longer taken into account when the Commission was appointed in 2017. He is part of the staff of the Tumult series .
