Manfred Schott

Manfred Schott (born February 1, 1936 in Munich ; † April 7, 1982 ibid) was a German actor and voice actor .

Life

Manfred Schott initially worked as a theater actor in Lübeck, among others . Since 1967 he has also worked extensively in dubbing and has become an extremely sought-after and busy speaker. He lent his distinctive voice to Dustin Hoffman (standard speaker since the final exam ) and Jack Nicholson (standard speaker , including One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest ), Michael Caine (including Vanishing Point Marseille ), Adriano Celentano ( Bluff ), Bradford Dillman (among others The Remagen Bridge ), Terence Hill ( privateer of the seas among others ), Burt Reynolds ( the tiger chases the pack ), George Segal ( roller coaster among others ) and Peter Sellers ( Casino Royale ).

He was particularly popular as the German voice of the ship's doctor Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy (in the original "Bones" ; DeForest Kelley ) in the 39 from the ZDF synchronized episodes of the television series Star Trek and the first Star Trek movie of 1979. For the science fiction series Moonbase Alpha 1 , he dubbed the lead role of Commander John Koenig ( Martin Landau ). In 1982 he spoke as one of his last works the part of Alan Napier in the US film The Unheimliche Gast

He also spoke the off comment in the first seven parts of the Schoolgirl Report series.

In addition, Schott was involved in a number of BR radio productions and made industrial films for large corporations.

On 7 April 1982 Manfred Schott had an accident at the age of 46 years on the Föhringer Ring in Munich deadly than a pebble fell vicious skidded and with the oncoming Audi collided actor.

After his death, many dubbing roles, especially those of Dustin Hoffman, Robert Wagner and Jack Nicholson, were taken over by his colleague Joachim Kerzel . An exception is the role of DeForest Kelley as "Pille" McCoy ( Spaceship Enterprise ), who from then on was spoken by Randolf Kronberg in both the Sat.1 synchronization of the series and in the Star Trek films parts 4 , 5 and 6 .
