Manuel Herrero Fernández OSA (born January 17, 1947 in Serdio-Val de San Vicente , Cantabria , Spain ) is a Spanish religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Palencia .
Life
Manuel Herrero Fernández joined the Congregation of the Augustinian Hermits at and received on July 12, 1970, the sacrament of Holy Orders . From 2002 to December 2014 and again from May 2015 he was Vicar General of the Diocese of Santander . In the interim Sedisvakanz he administered the diocese of Santander as diocesan administrator .
On February 26, 2016, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Palencia. The Apostolic Nuncio in Spain, Archbishop Renzo Fratini , donated him episcopal consecration on June 18 of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Madrid , Carlos Osoro Sierra , the Archbishop of Valladolid , Ricardo Cardinal Blázquez Pérez , the Archbishop of Burgos , Fidel Herráez Vegas , and the Old Bishop of Palencia, Nicolás Antonio Castellanos Franco OSA.
