Manuel Zschunke

Manuel Zschunke (* 1991 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German actor .

Life

Manuel Zschunke visited the Sibylle Sohl Studio for Theater and Dance in Frankfurt am Main. He was also active in the extras at the Schauspiel / Oper Frankfurt from 2000 to 2009 and worked in small roles as an actor. After graduating from high school, he first studied German and musicology from 2010-2011 . From 2011 to 2015 he completed his acting studies at the drama institute "Hans Otto" of the University of Music and Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig .

During his studies he performed in the studio of the New Theater in Halle . There he worked with Maik Priebe , Matthias Brenner , Martina Eitner-Acheampong and Alexander Gamnitzer , among others . In the studio production Die Räuber he played the role of Franz Moor.

Since the 2015/16 season he has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Theater Bonn . Here he played u. a. Romeo in Romeo and Juliet (premiere: 2016/17 season, director: Laura Linnenbaum ), Hauptmann Wassili Wassiljewitsch Soljony in Drei Schwestern (premiere: 2016/17 season, director: Martin Nimz ), Hugo in Die Dirty Hands (season 2017/18, director: Marco Štorman , with Daniel Breitfelder as partner) and the criminal inspector Richard Voss in Die Physiker (premiere: season 2017/18, director: Simon Solberg ).

In addition to his work at the theater, he worked in various cinema and TV productions. In season 5 of the TV series In allerfreund - Die Junge Ärzte (2019), he took on one of the main roles in the episode with Andreas Leupold as a partner as the son of a violin maker who got into an argument with his father when he bought the violin of his deceased wife wants to sell to Oslo . In Heinrich Breloer's two-part TV docudrama Brecht (2019), Zschunke embodied the writer Arnolt Bronnen at the side of Tom Schilling .

Zschunke lives in Leipzig and Bonn .
