Marc Vidal (born June 3, 1991 in Saint-Affrique ) is a French football goalkeeper .
Club career
Vidal started playing football with a small club from his hometown of Saint-Affrique . From there he moved to the youth department of Toulouse FC in 2005 , where he was accepted into the reserve team in 2008. Despite a small number of missions, he was accepted into the first team a year later, where he was intended exclusively as a substitute keeper. Therefore, he had to wait until February 14, 2010 for his first division debut, which he gave in the 1-1 draw against FC Lorient . He was used for the full 90 minutes. In the following season he also played two professional appearances, but was again mainly used in the second team from 2011.
National team
In 2008, Vidal was appointed to the French U-18 team for the first time , for which he played two games. He was then appointed to the U-19s and played for them twice before he was invited to the 2010 European Championships by them in the summer of 2010 . In the course of this, Abdoulaye Diallo was set as a regular goalkeeper, so that Vidal could not play a game, but could still celebrate winning the tournament with the team. He was also used in the U-20s when he was on the field in a 3: 3 against Portugal on October 7, 2010. This was also his last game for a national youth selection.
