Marcelino Correr

Marcelino Correr OFMCap (born January 11, 1932 in Piracicaba , São Paulo , † April 18, 2006 ) was a Brazilian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Carolina .

Life

Marcelino Correr joined the religious order of the Capuchin in and received on 15 June 1957, the priestly ordination .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Carolina on March 13, 1991 . The Apostolic Nuncio in Brazil, Archbishop Carlo Furno , donated him the episcopal ordination on April 21 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Daniel Tomasella OFMCap, Bishop of Marília , and his predecessor Evangelista Alcimar Caldas Magalhães OFMCap, Prelate of Alto Solimões .

On October 15, 2003, Pope John Paul II accepted his health-related resignation as Bishop of Carolina.
