Nowe Sołdany ( German Neu Soldahnen ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the rural community Giżycko (Lötzen) in the powiat Giżycki ( Lötzen district ).
Geographical location
Nowe Sołdany is located in the north-east of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, 19 kilometers southeast of the former district town of Angerburg ( Polish : Węgorzewo ) and eight kilometers northeast of today's Powiat capital Giżycko (Lötzen) .
history
The small former estate Neu Soldahnen was founded in 1836. In 1874, the village in the newly built office district was Kruklanki ( Polish Kruklanki ) incorporated, which the district Angerburg in Administrative district Gumbinnen the Prussian province of East Prussia belonged.
63 inhabitants lived in the Neu Soldahnen manor district in 1910 . On September 30, 1928, he gave up his independence and was incorporated into the rural community of Soldahnen (Polish Sołdany).
As a result of the war, Neu Soldahnen was assigned to Poland in 1945 along with all of southern East Prussia and was given the Polish place name "Nowe Sołdany". Today the place is incorporated into the Schulzenamt (Polish sołectwo) Pieczonki ( German Pietzonken , 1938 to 1945 Grünau ) and forms a place in the community of Giżycko in the Giżycki powiat , before 1998 the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then part of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .
Religions
Neu Soldahnen was parish up until 1945 in the Evangelical Church of Kruglanken in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church of St. Bruno in Lötzen in the Diocese of Warmia .
Today Nowe Sołdany belongs to the Catholic parish Kruklanki in the Diocese of Ełk of the Roman Catholic Church in Poland and to the Protestant parish of Giżycko in the Diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

Nowe Sołdany is located on a side road that leads from the Polish state road DK 63 (former German Reichsstraße 131 ) at Spytkowo (Spiergsten , 1938 to 1945 Spirgsten) via Pieczonki (Pietzonken , 1938 to 1945 Grünau) to Kruklanki (Kruglanken) .
The route of the Angerburg – Lötzen railway runs through the local area of Nowe Sołdany, although the Kruklanki – Giżycko section was decommissioned in 1987. The next train station was Pieczonki.
