Wola Bogaczkowska ( German  Bogatzewen (Gut), 1927 to 1945 Reichensee (Gut) ) is a village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Giżycko ( rural community Lötzen ) in the powiat Giżycki ( Lötzen district ).

Geographical location

Wola Bogaczkowska is located in the north-east of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , seven kilometers south of the district town of Giżycko (Lötzen ).

history

Until 1945, Wola Bogaczkowska, which now exists as a separate village, was an estate within the municipality of Bogatzewen ( Bogaczewo in Polish ), only a few hundred meters north of the center. Connected with the history of the mother community, it and the village were renamed "Reichensee" on September 19, 1927.

Only with the assignment to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war does the separate history of the village now known as "Wola Bogacskowska" begin, whose estate no longer exists. The connection with the former mother community is only given by belonging to their current Schulzenamt (Polish sołectwo). As a result, however, the integration into the association of Gmina Giżycko (rural community Lötzen ) in powiat Giżycki (district Lötzen ) is given, before 1998 the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then assigned to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .
