Marcello Romano

Marcello Romano (born August 15, 1965 in Conceição do Mato Dentro ) is a Brazilian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Araçuaí .

Life

Marcello Romano was ordained a priest on June 24, 1994 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Araçuaí on June 13, 2012. The bishop of Caratinga , Emanuel Messias de Oliveira , gave him episcopal ordination on September 8th of the same year; The co- consecrators were José Maria Pires , Senior Archbishop of Paraíba , and Jeremias Antônio de Jesus , Bishop of Guanhães . As a motto he chose Facere amare amari .

On March 25, 2020, Pope Francis accepted Marcello Romano's resignation.
