Marcin Borski

Marcin Borski (born April 13, 1973 ) is a Polish football referee . He has been a first division referee in Poland since 1999 and on the FIFA list since 2006 . He is the only Polish referee nominated for the 2012 European Football Championship .

Borski worked as an analyst for the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the Ministry of Finance of Poland until he became a professional arbitrator in 2008 .

In April 2008 Marcin Borski became a participant in the UEFA Talent Program, which aims to support young, promising referees in their development. He participated in this program for two years. In April 2009 he was chosen by the magazine "Pilka Nozna" as the best referee of the 2008/09 season in the Polish first division. In December 2011 he was nominated by UEFA as the fourth official for the 2012 European Championship tournament. At the same time he was promoted to the second highest UEFA referee category "Elite Development".
