Marco Ambrosini (* 1964 in Forlì ) is an Italian musician , composer and arranger with main residence in Germany.

Life

Marco Ambrosini received his musical training from 1971 to 1981, with violin and viola (with Adrio Casagrande) and composition (with Mario Perrucci), at the Istituto Musicale GB Pergolesi in Ancona and at the Conservatory “G. Rossini ”in Pesaro .

Marco Ambrosini has been playing Nyckelharpa since 1983 , as one of the first full-time musicians outside Sweden since the Baroque period. Together with the violin makers and today's nyckel harpa makers Jean-Claude Condi and Annette Osann , he continues to develop the instrument.

Marco Ambrosini teaches early music, among other things, at the “Stages für Alte Musik” at Fürsteneck Castle . He is the initiator and content director of the European Nyckelharpa training, which is designed in cooperation with the Scuola di Musica Popolare di Forlimpopoli , Italy, the Akademie Burg Fürsteneck, Germany, and the Eric Sahlström Institutet in Tobo , Sweden, as a training opportunity for musicians on the key fiddle has been. Marco Ambrosini works as a composer, soloist and member of various ensembles for early music , baroque music and contemporary music , including Studio Katharco and Ensemble Oni Wytars (Germany), Els Trobadors (Spain), Ensemble Unicorn, Ensemble Accentus, Clemencic Consort , Armonico Tributo Austria (Austria), Ensemble Kapsberger ( Rolf Lislevand , Norway), L'Arpeggiata ( Christina Pluhar , France), with Michael Riessler and Jean-Louis Matinier. In the quintet Supersonus - The Europian Resonance Ensemble he works together with Anna-Maria Hefele , Eva-Maria Rusche , Wolf Janscha and Anna Liisa Eller . In 1994 he played baroque concerts for the Moscow Philharmonic as a nyckel harpasolist with the LAD ensemble, and in 2013 at Carnegie Hall with Lucilla Galeazzi . Concerts and tours have taken him to more than 25 countries. His discography contains over 150 CDs.

  • In 1996 he was chosen by Swedish Radio as interpreter and composer for the Nordic Jazz Meeting.
