Marek Żukow-Karczewski (born May 6, 1961 ) is a Polish historian , journalist and publicist . He deals with the history of Krakow , especially the history of architecture , but also with environmental protection .

biography

Żukow-Karczewski studied history at the Jagiellonian University . In 1981 he was one of the organizers of the Krakow Citizens' Committee for the Rescue (in Polish : Obywatelski Komitet Ratowania Krakowa) and took part in the restoration of the historical monuments in the Rakowicki Cemetery . Since 1990 he has been a member of the Polish Ecological Club (in Polish : Polski Klub Ekologiczny), since 1991 a member of the Society of Polish Journalists (in Polish : Stowarzyszenie Dziennikarzy Polskich) and the International Federation of Journalists . Żukow-Karczewski has published more than 500 books and articles, including in the magazines : Aura , Czas Krakowski , Echo Krakowa , Gazeta Krakowska , Kalendarz Serca Jezusowego , Kraków magazyn kulturalny , Posłaniec Serca Jezusowego , Przekrój and Życie Literackie . His works are also published on Internet portals (e.g. Ekologia.pl, Wolne Media, My21). In addition, she worked on programs for Polish television and radio in Krakow.
