Maria Angela Cassol (born October 27, 1956 in Nettuno , Lazio region ) is an Italian medalist .

Career

Maria Angela Cassol attended the state art school in Anzio until 1976 . From 1980 to 1981 she was a member of Emilio Greco's sculpture class at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma . This was followed by a three-year visit to the Scuola dell'Arte della Medaglia - Giuseppe Romagnoli of the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato at the end of her training . From 1983 she worked for the Il Babuino gallery in Rome.

In 1987 she was hired as an engraver by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato , which also functions as a state mint . Her design for the face side of the Italian euro coins for 20 cents achieved great fame . Momoni also designed some editions of the San Marinese and Vatican euro coins for the Italian mint .
