Maria Cześnik (born August 3, 1977 in Warsaw ) is a Polish triathlete , two-time Olympian (2008, 2012) and Polish triathlon champion (2016).

Career

2008 Summer Olympics

Maria Cześnik started in 2008 at the Olympic Summer Games in Beijing and finished 31st. At the 2011 Military World Championship, she finished third in the triathlon.

For the Olympic Summer Games 2012 she was able to qualify again and she finished 34th in London.

In May 2013 she was third at the European Triathlon Championships in the middle distance as part of the Half Challenge Barcelona .

National triathlon champion 2016

In July 2016, she became Polish triathlon champion, after having been runner-up in 2014. In September she finished fifth at the European Championship on the half-distance as part of the Challenge Walchsee-Kaiserwinkl .
