Agnieszka Jerzyk (born January 15, 1988 ) is a Polish duathlete and triathlete . She is duathlon world champion U23 (2008), triathlon university world champion (2010), triathlon world champion in the U23 class (2011), military world champion triathlon (2011), four-time triathlon state champion (2013-2018) and two-time Olympian ( 2012, 2016).

Career

U23 world champion duathlon 2008

In 2008 Agnieszka Jerzyk became the U23 duathlon world champion.

In May 2009 she became vice-European champion on the duathlon short distance (10 km running, 40 km cycling and 5 km running).

In 2010 she was U23 European triathlon champion. At the University World Championships in Valencia, Agnieszka Jerzyk won the individual competition and together with Paulina Kotfica and Anna Grzesiak she also won the gold medal in the team competition.

U23 world champion triathlon 2011

In 2011 she became triathlon world champion in the U23 class in Beijing and also won the triathlon military world championship.

At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Agnieszka Jerzyk finished 25th. In August 2013 she became Polish triathlon state champion on the short distance and in 2015 she was able to repeat this success. In June 2015 she was sixth at the European Championships on the Olympic short distance.
In 2016, she was ranked 47th as the best Polish woman in the ITU annual ranking.

2016 Summer Olympics

Agnieszka Jerzyk started as the only Polish woman at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in August 2016 and finished in 22nd place. In August 2017 she became military vice world champion in Sassenberg, Germany.

In August 2018 she became Polish triathlon state champion on the short distance triathlon for the fourth time. In September she won her third Ironman 70.3 race in Portugal with the Ironman 70.3 Cascais .
