Mark Kosick (born March 25, 1979 in Victoria , British Columbia ) is a German - Canadian ice hockey player who last played for SC Riessersee in the DEL2 .

Career

Kosick played in during his college days for the University of Michigan in the game operations of the NCAA and was finally selected in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft in the eighth round in 211th position by the Carolina Hurricanes , for which he did not play a game in the following years .

Instead, the center moved to the Eisbären Berlin in the German Ice Hockey League for the 2002/03 season , for which, however, he only scored two goals in 52 games and then returned to North America, where he ran up with the Wheeling Nailers in the ECHL . Two seasons later, the left shooter came back to the DEL, where he joined the Kassel Huskies in the 2005/06 season, but only completed 16 games for them.

For the following season 2005/06 Kosick signed a contract with the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg from the 2nd Bundesliga , with which he rose to the DEL two years later. During his renewed season in the DEL, however, the attacker switched back to the second division to his former employer Kassel Huskies and in the same year managed to win the second division championship and the associated sporting promotion to the DEL.

Kosick's contract with the "Huskies" was canceled in January 2009, however, as Kassel fulfilled his wish to switch to Herner EV . There he played until the end of the season and moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for the 2010/11 season to the Eispiraten Crimmitschau . A season later, Kosick signed a contract with league competitor REV Bremerhaven . For the 2014/15 season he signed a contract with SC Riessersee, also playing in the DEL2 .
