Mark Letheren

Mark Letheren (* 1971 in Chelmsford , Essex , England ) is a British actor in film and television.

Life

Mark Letheren attended Ardingly College . He completed his acting training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London , which he graduated in 1992. He has appeared as a stage actor in numerous theater productions on various British stages. He played the role of Jamie in the world premiere of the play Beautiful Thing by Jonathan Harvey ( Bush Theater , London, 1993). In the Royal Shakespeare Company he played the 1996 Flaut ( Francis Flute ) in A Midsummer Night's Dream . In the same year he appeared in this role at the Lunt Fontanne Theater on Broadway in New York . At the Derby Playhouse , and at The Royal Lyceum in Edinburgh he joined in 1998 as Frederick Clegg in a stage version of the novel collector ( The Collector ) by John Fowles on. In 2001, he played on The Minerva Theater in Chichester to Irwin in The Secret Rapture by David Hare . In October 2007, Cloud Nine by Carol Churchill followed at the Almeida Theater in Islington . In 2009 he took on the role of George in All my sons from Arthur Miller at the Octagon Theater in Bolton . From April 2010 he played there in Comedians by Trevor Griffiths .

Letheren also took on numerous roles in film and television . He took on several continuous series roles, recurring episode roles and guest roles. He played in the British television series A Touch of Frost , Noah's Ark , coroner Dr. Leo Dalton and Waking the Dead . He was particularly known for his role as journalist Simon Kitson in the crime series The Bill and for his continuous series role as Detective Sergeant Kevin Geoffries in Up Close - The Hill Method . Since 2008 he has played the role of Ben Harding in the BBC hospital series Casualty .

Letheren made his movie debut in 1995 alongside Robert Downey Jr. in the historical drama Restoration - a time of sensuality . His other film roles included: Charles Parker in Oscar Wilde directed by Brian Gilbert , the actor Dickie in the romantic costume film Stage Beauty and Villard in the science fiction thriller Control - You Shall Not Kill .
