The Markbach is a one kilometer long brook in the Hessian Wetteraukreis . It is a left and northern tributary of the Michelbach .

The Markbach rises from the Markborn spring in the eastern Hintertaunus at an altitude of about 429  m above sea level. NN in a mixed forest northwest of the Butzbach district of Maibach . It first flows about two hundred meters through mixed forest and then through the Diemarker deciduous forest . Then it runs through grassland and is lined with deciduous trees on its left side. Finally it flows out at an altitude of about 340  m above sea level. NN from the left into the Michelbach .
