Marlène Harnois (born October 22, 1986 in Montreal ) is a former Canadian and now French Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 57 kilograms. She is a knight of the French National Order of Merit .

Harnois started for her home country Canada until 2007 and won a medal in the junior division at both World and Pan American Championships. At the age of 18 she moved to France to train there under professional conditions. At the European Championships in Rome in 2008 , she started for France for the first time and immediately became European champion. Harnois won bronze medals at the 2010 European Championships in Saint Petersburg and the 2011 World Championships in Gyeongju , and in the semifinals she was eliminated by Nur Tatar and Jade Jones . She finally won her second European title at the European Championships in Manchester in 2012 , after beating Joyce van Baaren in the semi-finals and Marina Sumić in the final .

Harnois won the decisive battle for third place against Deborah Louz at the European Olympic qualification tournament in Kazan in January 2012 and secured a starting place for the 2012 Olympic Games in London . There she made it to the semi-finals, where she lost 3 to 8 to world champion Hou Yuzhuo . Then she competed for the bronze medal against the Japanese Mayu Hamada and won it with 12 to 8 points.
