Nur Tatar (born August 16, 1992 in Van ) is a Turkish Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 67 kilograms.

Tatar starts for the TSE Sports Club in Ankara and is trained by Cüneyt Gülçek. At the age of 15 she won bronze at the 2007 European Junior Championship in Baku , two years later she became European Junior Champion in Vigo and successfully defended the title in Kharkiv the following year . In 2010, Tatar made its international breakthrough in the adult sector. At the European Championships in Saint Petersburg she only lost in the final against Sarah Stevenson and won the silver medal, two years later she became European champion for the first time in the adult division in Manchester with a final victory over Haby Niaré .

Tatar won the European Olympic qualification tournament in Kazan in January 2012 and secured a place in the 2012 Olympic Games in London . There she won the silver medal, losing in the final to the South Korean Hwang Kyung-seon with 5:12 points. In 2016 he won the bronze medal in Rio de Janeiro .

She became world champion at the 2017 World Championships.
