Marlene Müller-Haas

Marlene Müller-Haas ( pseudonym : Eta Wichert ; born July 8, 1948 in Randersacker ) is a German translator .

Life

Marlene Müller-Haas completed a study of the history of art , of Dutch and German at universities in Amsterdam and Berlin . She then taught at the Free University of Berlin . Today she lives as a freelance translator in Berlin.

Marlene Müller-Haas translates fiction , non-fiction and exhibition catalogs from Dutch into German . Müller-Haas is a member of the Association of German-Language Translators of Literary and Scientific Works . In 2002 she received the Else Otten Translator Award for her translation of the essay volume Kirschenblut by Charlotte Mutsaers .
