Marcos Gabriel do Nascimento , called Marquinhos Gabriel , (born July 21, 1990 in Selbach (Rio Grande do Sul) ) is a Brazilian football player . The strong foot of Marquinhos Gabriel is the left. He is mainly used as an attacking midfielder .

Marquinhos Gabriel started his career a. a. in the junior division of SC Internacional . At the club he made the leap into the professional squad in 2009. In the state championship of Rio Grande do Sul , Marquinhos will play his first game as a professional on February 5, 2009. In the home game against Canoas SC he was substituted on for Taison in the 75th minute .

In the Brazilian championship , Marquinhos competed in the 2009 season for the first time on August 19, 2018. In the home game against the Corinthians São Paulo he came into the game in the 73rd minute for Luis Bolaños . Marquinhos also scored his first professional goal in the championship round. Ten days after his debut in the league on August 30th, he was in the starting line-up in the home game against Goiás EC and scored in the 6th minute to take the lead 1-0 (4-0).

For the 2011 season, the player was loaned to Avaí FC . After playing eight games in the state championship of Santa Catarina and five in the championship , Marquinhos returned to Internacional in late July 2011. He did not come to any other missions for the rest of the season.

On January 13, 2012 it was announced that Marquinhos will be loaned to Sport Recife . With sport he first played 16 games in which he scored a goal in the state championship of Pernambuco and was runner-up with the club. In the championship he came to 21 out of 38 possible appearances. In these he scored four goals, but could not prevent the relegation of sport at the end of the season.

In the following year, Marquinhos continued to be loaned out. He came to EC Bahia . With Bahia he played in the national championship of Bahia and continue the Series A . In the club he was able to assert himself as a regular player and aroused the interest of Palmeiras São Paulo . On January 15, 2014, the club announced the signing of Marquinhos. Marquinhos was sold again by Palmeiras in July of that year. He came to al-Nasr in Saudi Arabia . After only six months, Marquinhos Gabriel returned to Brazil. In January 2015, his loan to FC Santos became known. The contract was given a term of one year.

After the loan expired, the player was signed by Corinthians São Paulo until July 31, 2020. After Marquinhos played 25 games in Corinthians championship season 2017 and scored three goals, he only made a few appearances in 2018. In August of that year he was loaned to al-Nasr in the UAE for a year . Marquinhos Gabriel played his first game in the UAE Arabian Gulf League on August 30, 2018, the first matchday of the 2018/19 season . In the home game against the Ajman Club he was in the starting line-up. He scored his first goal in the league one day later on September 14, 2018. In the away game against Sharjah FC , he scored the 5-3 goal in the 53rd minute.

At the beginning of 2019, Marquinhos Gabriel returned to Brazil. At Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte he signed a three-year contract until the end of 2021. Cruzeiro acquired 60% of the transfer rights to the player. 28% stayed with Corinthians and 12% with al-Nasr . After descending from Cruzeiro at the end of season 2019 in the Série B , was on Marquinhos Gabriel early January 2020 Athletico Paranaense borrowed.
