Walter Henrique da Silva (born July 22, 1989 in Recife ) is a Brazilian soccer player . He has played for Athletico Paranaense since 2020 .

Career

Walter began his career in the youth team of São José EC , from where he moved to the Internacional Porto Alegre . In its first season Internacional was sixth in the league, in the following season was reached second place. He was also used in the 2010 Copa Libertadores . He completed eight games and scored one goal against CA Banfield . In the end, the team won the title.

In summer 2010 he moved to Europe and signed with FC Porto . With the club he won the 2010/11 UEFA Europa League . From the beginning of 2012 to the end of 2019 he was loaned to various clubs in his home country, rarely staying with one for longer than a year. In May 2020, Walter signed for the second time with Athletico Paranaense .
