Martin Živný (born March 20, 1981 in Brno , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech football player on the position of a defender .
Club career
Živný began his career at FC Brno , where he was under contract from 2000 to 2006. After short guest appearances on loan from FK Kunovice and FC Vítkovice , he returned to Brno in 2007 and played a not insignificant role in the first FC team until 2009 in the top Czech division.
In 2009 he signed a contract with SK Austria Kärnten in the Austrian Bundesliga and made 16 appearances in the top Austrian football league by the winter break of the 2009/10 season and also played in two games in the 2009/10 ÖFB Cup . In all of his competitive appearances for the Carinthians , he remained without a goal. After he received a release from his club to change clubs at the end of January 2010, he completed a trial training session with the Hungarian first division club Ferencváros Budapest shortly afterwards . However, like his team mate from Austria Kärnten André Schembri , he was not accepted by the Hungarians in their professional team and has been without a club since then. He was later obliged by the Romanian first division club Dinamo Bucharest .
Živný was only used once in Bucharest and joined the Austrian second division TSV Hartberg in early September 2010 . He has been playing for FC Slovan Rosice since the beginning of 2012 .
National team
Živný took part in the 2001 Junior World Cup in Argentina , alongside players like Petr Čech , Tomáš Hübschman , Jan Polák and Tomáš Jun . Živný played through in all the Czech games. The team was eliminated in the quarterfinals against Paraguay . He played nine games for the U-21 national team between 2002 and 2003.
